Help please?
So my Kobo can boot up, but keeps getting stuck on the language select screen. Tried factory resets, tried almost everything. Can anyone help?

So the touchscreen does not work? Any dirt or obstacles that could obstruct it? If you took it apart maybe the case does not sit properly...?

sanchit123: I have sent you a PM with the link. But, if you are getting to the language screen, the device is booting and loading nickel. That suggests that there is some other problem preventing touch from working. frotschultz's suggestions are likely reasons for this.

Hi thanks for the responses! Basically I've tried older versions too and the touch works fine on those, the firmware is incredibly slow and hangs quite often however - which is why I want to try a new image, to see if the SD card inside is corrupt or something.

Are you sure it is bricked? The Kobo update process is very safe and you have to go out of your way to brick the device. About the only way I know to do it is sideload the wrong firmware package. And even that has become safer with the new devices. Or maybe force it off at the wrong time.

So, what are the symptoms? And have you tried a factory reset using the buttons?

I'm not sure it's bricked or broken. I tried to turn on, reset from back button, and also factory reset, it's still not show anything except blink LED.

Please send me a link to download the sd image + tutorial for ubuntu and windows.

Hullo! So I tried reflashing the factory image, no luck anything else I can do? It loads fine (the image) but as soon as I set it up, it becomes weird - doesnt respond anymore
