I probably should break down and buy a card for my LG Volt. It would be a lot cheaper. LOL Still haven't done a good job of convincing myself yet. | |

Enablers, each and every one of yous guys! Do I understand the Fire phone can do TTS in the Kindle app? I just read that somewhere. I know there's a dedicated Fire phone thread somewhere but I hadn't the need of it, previously (yet?). Resistance is futile, or so they tell me. |

This is an extremely good quality piece of hardware! It's 32 GB HD camera, if nothing else. Where are you going to get that for $59?

Trying to also hold out...but really $59 for this super phone! LOVE the one I have and for a back-up 13 mega pix camera and the Kindle reader app plus one year extension of Prime. OH, trying to hold out!

You need to market it the right way. What the phone actually costs less the cost of Prime, great as an audio device for music, podcasts, etc. As the monkey said in the Fire Phone thread it's a great mini-tablet.

Well, I did throw an "announcement" up there, but I didn't try terribly hard to market the device. Sometimes that causes more confusion than help. I don't mind answering questions about devices that I own or understand, but it's much harder to do for something I don't own! It is possible that it needs more "marketing" on the blog. I notice the books that I review (good or bad reviews) sell more copies than those I just announce or talk about because they are deals. Sometimes that is true of this thread as well. I wasn't interested in a number of devices until Tubemonkey pointed out they could be used as something other than a phone (I have no use for a phone).

I crumbled! Just can not pass up a phone for $60 when taking the extension of Prime for another year. I LOVE the Fire Phone I have now so will use the new one as a 5" tablet.

Cancelled my order; decided a fourth device was overkill. But if they drop the price on Prime Day I'm sure I'll be back in.
