Scene: everyone is pitching in to help set up for the party, unloading and preparing (though LazyScot takes a brief break for a ZanyCarter to steady his nerves after the shopping expedition). The trees are quickly erected and decorated, and Marc produced a seven dimension hypersphere disco ball (much too the delight of the JukeBox), and then directed the setting up of the bar whilst others created a stage and under the direction of Marc and the JukeBox set up the Montsmags Enterprises Gargantuan Amplifier and Light Show, followed by setting up the sound proofing of the chillout room and cinema. Meanwhile, in the chillout room Nekokami took great pleasure in arranging an assortment of teas and ensuring that every one can be made fresh and to perfection whilst the ebook servers and wireless networks were configured. Out of nowhere, ShortNCuddlyAm appeared and provided trays of mince pies and Christmas cake to go with the panettone that Zelda had found that were laid out next to the teas, and the Espresso machines LazyScot liberated from the Lounge staff. The chinchillas walked in and talked to LazyScot (who found the ZanyCarter meant he wasn't scared) who then arranged a minature stage for them and arranged it with tiny seats and music stands. In the cinema, LazyScot loaded up the movies he had taken from google, authorised them with the Unbox server, and set up A nightmare before Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, A miracle on 34th Street and The Muppet Christmas Carol to play continuously. And so, in the space of only a few hours, the venue was ready, with space for all. And throughout all this feverish activity, tucked away in a quite corner, Penny and the BatAI kept out of everyone's way and happily exchanged little lovebytes.
"Ladies, Gentlemen, and assorted Avatars, the great and the good, the green and the black, the bar is now open. Whilst Zelda helps warm up the main act," (at which point LazyScot professionally ignored the few guffaws from the audience,) announced LazyScot to officially start the party, as the six Pandaborg acquired during the shopping trip, the policeman, the builder, the Indian, the biker, the cowboy and the solider walked onto the stage, "I give you, the amazing, the incredible, Village Pandas!" And with that the Village Pandas started singing as the copyright owners of Y.M.C.A. reached for their lawyers… Reader, there's no need to feel down I said, Reader, pick yourself an avatar I said, Reader, 'cause you're at a new 'site There's no need to be unhappy. Reader, there's a place you can go, I said, Reader, when you're short on your books, You can read there, and I'm sure you will find Your way into the lounge. It's fun to play at the M-R-Par-Ty It's fun to play at the M-R-Par-Ty They have everything for readers to enjoy, You can find out 'bout all the toys …. It's fun to play at the M-R-Par-Ty It's fun to play at the M-R-Par-Ty And with that, the village pandas (to slightly incredible rapturous applause) gave way to Zelda who announce the main attraction, a somewhat crumpled Tom Waits, indicating that everyone will enjoy his sets. To extensive cheering, and the sound of many a Zany Carter, Chocolate Monkeys and Long Island Iced Tea being drunk, together with mulled wine and ongoing chocolate tasting, Tom started his first set (and even asked Zelda to help with the songs on stage). <At this point the second ZanyCarter LazyScot had drunk started to take affect. For this reason I apologise for the random changes in person and tense. It is a well-known fact that ZanyCarters cause narrative hiccups.> I'm a little bit unclear of what happened next, and anyone who can fill in the numerous gaps in the remaining story are welcome to contribute their memories and photos. The few clips my memory contains (that may, or may not yet have happened – I'm a little vague on that) include the following (which I'm pretty certain are not in temporal order, but I believe either ZanyCarters or one of Marc's toys made the concept of temporal order somewhat academic)
However, can I suggest that, next time we need some shopping, we please use the Intenet? |

You forgot that part where the laddy by the Super Secret Escape Tunnel tried to grab Nekochan and make her use it and the resulting conflagration when Dixiegall intervened on her behalf.
Ah... good times! Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Riveting Slasher Film Marathon Day, and anything that I missed to all! |
