It's kobo's equivalent of Apple's infamous "you're holding it wrong" scandal with the iPhone antennas.

If you hold it right, it should plop down onto your tummy instead of your nose.

This is an appealing aspect of the Kobo. I've usually already gone to sleep, autoturnoff in a short time is excellent.

I am glad to see I am not the only one who knows that moment where you fell to sleep, feeling your reader slipping trough your fingers and wake up instantly to prevent it dropping to the ground, then it is time to put off the glasses and put the reader on the kabinet..so the sleep modus works on humans too

I was using a T1 and it's hard coded for 10 minutes before auto-sleep. I found that sometimes that was too short. I now have auto-sleep set to 20 minutes and it's perfect.

I've set mine for 5 and 15, its great. Last night I was so tired I have absolutely no recollection of falling asleep, but this morning, there was the new Kobo, laying flat on the mattress where it must have dropped, all switched off. Love it.

You don't need to worry about it staying on. You need to worry about rolling over and crushing it

I wish I did. Sadly, limited movement and a CPAP machine means I really can't roll that far without waking up completely and if I did that, I'd move the device

That red light appears when powering the reader on, it will flash a few times while the 5 squares are moving across the page. I never notice it when just waking the reader from sleep.

My red light was up all the day. On the picture, the gHD is sleeping. I’ve shut it down and reboot it : the light is now ok (aka : not there). It seems it was buggy (and without that i’d never notice it). Thanks !

Its quite slow, isnt it. I don't remember pageturns on the old Glo being as hesitant. I can live with it for now. Wonder if a future firmware update might be able to address the issue, or if its just hardware limited.

Oh yeah... and after last night I wont let it drop to the bed again. I found it had slithered under my pillow and shoulder, far from where I was reading (arm's length usually).
