That was the report in another thread a couple of days ago. Haven't tried it in a while myself.

It is broken once again, crashing both the stock browser and the alternative browser I installed through a hack.

I thought the same as you, but then @twowheels (I think) said it wasn't working, and I tested it myself just a couple days ago.

The good news

is it doesn't crash so hard that your Kindle reboots. That is what happened last time it didn't work...

What is crashing? I was able to get to the dropbox site on my Voyage and log in, and open and view an image that I had on there.

What is happening on your Kindle?

Perhaps this is a difference between Kindle models? I believe that eschwartz is using a rather elderly Kindle Touch, while you have a Voyage? It could be that the extra RAM on the Voyage makes a difference here.

The RAM might make all the difference, in which case the premium Voyage is the only device that can handle the strain.
The PW3, once released, will hopefully be able to open Dropbox as well.

Meanwhile my Kindle Touch as well as the PW1 and PW2 will continue to crash until if/when something changes for the better on their website.
And twowheels' profile says he has a W1, so I assume that is what crashed for him.

Just tried DropBox on my aged Kindle Touch and was able to download a book just fine.

Just tried it on my PW2 and it works fine again (it did crash the last time I tried it a few months back).

Easiest thing to do is just buying a lowendbox for $3 or so yearly and putting COPS there. This is what I do. This way you can browse directly or have all your books sent to your Kindle device.

I sync my Calibre library with a simple script on Cron calling Rsync.

It is surprisingly simple to do. There are many online tutorials. Maybe I should write one for Mobileread?
