We've only had a little hail so far, but the wind gusts have ramped up to 96, which is pretty blowy.

I've about had it with weather in which the only break in the sweltering heat is a thunderstorm. Enough already. Oh! I just realized—today is the first day of summer. Up to now all my complaints have been about spring. Somebody make it stop!

We had pouring rain all night and most of the morning, a beautiful (but somewhat humid) afternoon, and more rain in the late evening.

It was hot and sunny until a few minutes ago. Now it's hot and ominously overcast. Heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, etc., are all due shortly.

96 F today .... at least it's under 90 F (89 F to be exact) before sundown ...

It was a beee-yootiful day, today. Sunny with just a few clouds and low humidity despite last night's drenching. High temps were in the mid 80s (F).
Tomorrow and Friday were supposed to be just as nice, according to last night's forecast, but now they're already calling for more rain. Both days. |

Quarter size and larger hail last night - 2 rounds of it - with torrential rains & straight line winds ... cats were terrified ... I was a mite perturbed ... geraniums (mostly) survived ... when I find time I'll post my pics of the deck - it looked like it was snowing hailstones!

We got the t-storms, but the hail bypassed us. Heard some folks got hail the size of 50 cent pieces, though.

Today it's going to be around 22C, but at the moment humidity is 85% and if it stays that way it will be an uncomfortable day (at least for me).
Next week we might get the first official heatwave of the year, it's got to be over 25C for five days. For Friday and Saturday 31C is predicted and on Sunday they say it's going to be 28C. With the start of the Tour de France in my city up to 900,000 tourists are expected, hopefully there won't be any mayor issues due to high temperatures. |
