Just opened it up, took a look and ordered a new battery....cheaper than a new kindle, eh and nothing wrong with the way it works for me. I use it primarily outdoors in sunlight...

Have you looked at current Kindle models, Kenny? I appreciate your desire to extend the life of an older device, but screen technology really has advanced enormously since the days of the K2; they're so much better to read on.

Only K3 are Used! I wouldn't get them.

Got my new battery today, but for now my K2 is working fine, at least holding a charge plenty long enough for a 3 mile walk.

I handed off my K3 Keyboard to my wife. I love the Fire HD. Backlight, against all logic, seems easier on my eye (I only have the one).
