I wonder if Amazon will ever give Alexa the same IQ as OK Google, Siri, and Cortana?

No linked devices. These OTR stations come straight from TuneIn Radio, so you can do voice commands. One of my favs is 20th Century Radio:

Me --> Alexa, play 20th Century Radio

Alexa --> 20th Century Radio on TuneIn

X Minus One is also available.

I think I've heard everything X Minus One ever broadcast as well as as all of the existing episodes of the earlier Dimension X from which it sprang, but I'll check out 20th Century Radio. In the meantime I'll see if I can find any other OTR shows on TuneIn Radio.

TuneIn has quite a few OTR listings. Just a matter of finding some favs. Be sure and bookmark the websites for the schedules.

Cranius interruptus? Yesterday I was wondering why the red ring was glowing and why Alexa wouldn't talk to me. For a while I thought she was in some kind of trouble. I even unplugged her and plugged her back in before discovering what the "problem" was. What a dolt I am at times.

Did unplugging and replugging unmute the mic it or did you still have to press the button even after that?

It spoke briefly to say it was awake, then went straight back to its muted microphone mode. I think what got me is that I never mute the microphone, so I wasn't expecting it. Someone else must have become curious as to the purpose of that button.
