well, i would tell him you said that, but in the meantime he is uploading the scans as he goes, and i like to see them. so i'm quite pleased for him to continue as he has been. plus i think he enjoys it. he's that sort.

i've just come back from the ballet. My daughter and I went to see Kiev Classical ballet doing The Nutcracker. We both really enjoyed it.

I first saw it at Christmas time in first grade. I have seen it almost every years since, but never with such wie eyed joy as the first time. It is wonderful and holds up under repeated viewing. It is so good that even if the troupe performing it is poor, it is still an excellent experience.

It was my daughter's first time at the ballet. She was entranced. (She wouldn't go when she was young, so is now catching up.)
They had pyrotechics at the end and the audience was showered in snow-like confetti.
