I found another free short on Audible today. You may recall last year we got a couple of free shorts from Michael J. Sullivan's 2 "Riyria" series (Chronicles and Revelations). One of them, "The Jester," is still available. Now you can get "Professional Integrity" for free here. These series are fantasy titles set in their own unique realm. I liked the shorts so much I got the whole series. There's no telling how long this will be free so if you think you're interested don't delay.

Audiobooks.com has partnered with over a dozen publishers to offer a different free title each weekday starting June 1 st. I kind of like the strategy audiobooks.com has been using for this promotion. 3 out of 4 of the books have not been available on Audible - I think they are highlighting stuff "you can't get from the big guy."

I just wish they'd offer something that I think is marginally interesting! At least I learned I don't need to do more than start the download and then delete from the device to have it land in my library.

Is the "big guy" doing anything at all for June?

I got an email from audiobooks.com offering me a free credit for an audiobook, if I review their iPhone app. I had signed up for the trial membership using the FAME2 code, and then downloaded the iPhone app. I also downloaded the Android app from Google play and there has been no credit offered for reviewing that app.

While I'm not normally interested in horror, I've read something by Jonathan Janz recently (there is a freebie of his offered over at TheAudiobookShop.com) and liked it enough to try another. I'll probably hold this one until around Halloween. I'm a big fan of Big Finish, but if you're not into Dr. Who that probably won't induce you to give that a try (and this freebie isn't a particularly good example of their work, anyway).

I posted one short freebie from Audible yesterday. If my memory is correct, Audible hasn't been a regular participant in JIAM, but they did do a site-wide sale for members only last year around this time.

No horror or SF for me as a rule. I hope with three more weeks' worth of books, there'll be some suspense and a classic or two.

I came here to post the same thing, I got the email offering a free credit for reviewing the iOS app.

Yesterday I accidentally used a credit on the wrong audiobook and so I emailed them asking if I could return the audiobook or have them swap audiobooks for me and the response only took minutes. Apparently they cannot do refunds or remove audiobooks from accounts, but as a one time thing they gave me a new credit to buy the correct audiobook. Great customer service.

I was offered the free credit to review the Android app. Maybe it's only one offer per account and they send for whichever platform you used first?

One can only hope. Actually, you've given me an idea. I might make a post over at the Goodreads audiobook group; the Audible team actually monitors it and posts from time to time (GR being owned by Amazon, and all) - a gentle nudge might get them to make an update, or at least confirm they have no intentions to change it.
