That's right; I have an account. I did the trial period and then cancelled. I forgot about this offer being made available to non-members.

I would think that you could sign up for a trial and still get the freebies as a member.

Yeah, it just means I have to pick out yet another freebie. I mean, I'm only like 2400 hours in the hole right now as it is. Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound.

Do you have an account? If so, then go to My Books in the menu. Each book you have downloaded on your device will appear in the center of the screen. Click the orange X in the upper right corner of the book. This popup appears:

I'd like to know how to sideload the books from my mobile phone to my computer. Has anyone figured this out?

I just did that. The downloaded file is stored at /sdcard/android/data/com.audiobooks.androidapp/files/books on my android phone. I copies the mp3 file to my pc using USB cord, and the file plays fine.

Nope. I figured I would wait until there was some title I really wanted. With all of the $10 coupons I've been getting from Audible, and the free-for-new-members-except-it-works-for-everyone codes I've cleared most of my wanted list. I'll probably try the two free code someone found earlier this year and see if it still works.

I was able to get 3 free audiobooks last Feb for my trial (2001, 2061, 3001).

They currently don't have a Win 8 / Win phone app. You'll need to get an iThing or an Android ____ (fill in the blank with device of your choice) and download it using their app. You can then side-load it to your PC. (Then you can side-load it back to your app when you are ready to listen to it; the files are non-DRM mp3 files.)

It looks like you don't actually have to download the audiobook to add it to your library for future listening/downloading.

I did an experiment with today's freebie. On my PC, I previewed the audiobook and muted it while letting it play for the 3 minutes. After the preview finished, it asked

"You have completed the sample, do you wish to continue listening to this audiobook?
Save for Later | Back to Browsing | Continue"

I chose Continue. Then I checked and the audiobook now appeared in "My Library" (click "Your Books" and scroll down a bit).

You do need an account to save audiobooks to your library. I had one from the previous offer of 2 free books.

How did you even get the file to be stored on the SD card in the first place? When I look at my settings for the app I don't have the option to move either the app or the data to the SD card, let alone to later sideload it to my computer!
