Hi,

I upgraded Calibre and used add_genre_when_multi_category, it worked as expected, but now I'd like to know if it's possible to use this but exclude works that contain specific tags? For example, Marvel stories tend to have multiple categories like Avengers and Captain America applied to the same story. I'd prefer to keep the crossover genre for Avengers/Harry Potter fics, as an example.

Thank you for your time and all the work you put into this plugin, it's made my experience in fandom immensely enjoyable because it's easier to read stories now.

Hello,

I have just updates from FFF 2.2.5 to 2.2.6 and run in an bug/limit.

With 2.2.5 I could select an "update" 1000 Books on FanFiction.Net with no problem.

With 2.2.6 I can not even select 500 Books to "update", the download of the metadata works with no problem, when FFF starts the Download-Job is when the problem starts, the Download-Job stays waiting till the end of Time.
Like in the older screenshot at the bottom.

With 400 selectet Books it works, but its not as comfortable as updating 1000 Books at once.

Please Fix it.

You could use replace_metadata and/or include/exclude_metadata_pre/post to reduce the categorys down to one. IE, replace both Avengers and Captain America with Marvel.

The FAQ Why shouldn't I just select my entire library and use FanFicFare plugin to check for updates? applies. My level of sympathy for 'I can't do more than 400 updates at once' is rather limited.

With the addition of the feature to pass Calibre metadata into FanFicFare while it's processing, you may have bumped into a limit on the amount of data that can be passed to a background process.

But IMO, it's also possible one of the sites you're hitting so hard is adding slow downs.

If you want, you can try going back to an earlier version.

This is a bug with how the 'save all FanFicFare metadata to a custom column' feature handles non-string (integer/float) values. Will be fixed in the next test version.

Example?

If you're talking about word counts from Count Pages, not beyond the obvious--they count words differently. I could speculate about how they count differently and why, but I have no specific knowledge.
