the future: want a tablet 6/7 inches as yotaphone 2!!!
![]() so... as object I want a tablet as the yotaphone so that I can enjoy life, playing chess, seeing movies, highlighting with different color on one side and then....just press a key and urpaupra umpa umpa see exactly mirrored on the other side my beautiful android Lollipop Looollipooop screen on the other side in eink technology under the sun, to relax my eyes or just to not run out of battery! I think this is the next trend... please I want it and I do not want to wait 2016. If I were more rich I would buy now a telephone yotaphone 2 cheaper with white design, but I am afraid that in 2016 they will publish at CES a white eink design 6 inches... I can understand that Putin give them as gift( to imply that also in that marvellous country they do really beautiful things, and it is right after God or your atheistic intelligence created the russian girls, now this yotaphone model is definetely beautiful as an Apple, with a functionality far better IMO) I want it and I want to put Mantano and other three nice sw reader that allow me to play with highlights as much as I want and make a strong database that will survive to every model, i deserve that. I would like to have a DEFINITIVE reader like this: a kinda 6/7 inches yotaphone for 300/400 eur. ![]() ![]() ciao Last edited by trocchietto; 05-21-2015 at 05:16 PM. |

Trocchietto, your post is very difficult to understand. I'm honestly not sure what you're asking.

thank you for the interest, in short I am asking as Gerge say a double android tablet with eink on one side. I am supposing that is where the market is going, do you agree? Still battery and sunlight reflex, and lack of an unique device that is phone/tablet/eink reader is missing in the market, the Yotaphone 3 I guess will fulfill these needs. the proprietary SW they use at the moment I do not like it( no good highlight management, good offline dic features, export notes functionally to new models), that is why I want Mantano or whatever other sw can allow me to have the 3 mentioned features Also other important points Yotaphone has is 1)you can put static photo or notification on the eink side, oryou can easily switch from one side to another insuring a continuity of navigation( ex. you see your email in gmail ont he tablet then press a button and turning the screen you can continue to navigate with gmail on the eink) , 2)the eink navigation quite smooth, at least from the video I saw looks less frustrating than the traditional eink ereader quite slugghish and unresponsive compared to a tablet.( probably the YP2 it has better processor and not resistive eink screen I reckon) thanks |

I carry both a tablet and a Kobo. I am happy like this, this is why we have bags. Trying to include everything in one device is a bad idea.

@HarryT,
I do not agree with you because also if it is true that people with LCD are happy, still is true that they can be more happy1) if when they have the battery low they can switch the phone to eink 2)also can be more happy to have a screen with notification on their office desk with notes, emails, hour, forecast etc always open( eink allows this) 3) a cool way to personalize their table changing the cover with an image fashion 4)seeing some information on the sun occasionaly where the screen is too reflective, and the other way around for eink readers @Gerge the problem is that I still have to find my definitive ereader, I want a responsive as a kobo) android( no dual boot, android 4) eink 6 inches reader. but still I can't find in the market what i am looking for. |

Gerge,
I do not like the T68 Onyx because the screen is resistive and the comparison in internet of Onyx vs Kobo(or Kindle) show a screen yellowish, anyway I like this hardware house, but for that price I would expect screen and touch screen more higher level. For 180 EU is nice to have the audio and the additional features, but still I do not want a sluggish experience if I am going to use it (even occasionaly) for other than reading(I do not expect a tablet, but still could be a bit more fast and responsive than now the Onyx, especially if I continuosly need to go through all the options Mantano offers). the yotaphone philosophy is you switch and decide in real time between tablet and eink, and this is just awesome, for INSTANCE THINK ABOUT.... how can be beautiful sometimes in your house, screen the pages really fast on the tablet, and then when you start to read switch to eink!!!! thank you anyway Last edited by trocchietto; 05-22-2015 at 11:57 AM. |

HarryT
I just saw that the yotaphone 2 was sold with a special offer few days ago instead of 600 dollars to 525 for few days... well they gained 150 thousand dollars in two days, 182T in 3 days, and is a lot considering the minimal discount here it the source where are quoted the carachteristics of this product that make me drooling. Of course I do not give a hoot about the brand, also if I like the idea someone can be competitive as amazon, google, apple. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/y...rtphone#/story HarryT, I like your humbleness, you have to be a really smart person, but I bet that this could be the next big technology, and there are huge possibilities IMO the next iphone will follow that trend, just think about the sales of this www.popslate.com/ and what can happen if developers start to do app ad hoc that exploit the disruptive potential of the double screen. ciao EDIT: Competitors are coming in the market, les jeux sont faites http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2015/0...e-ink-display/ Last edited by trocchietto; 05-22-2015 at 03:03 PM. |

I'd like an e-ink laptop or netbook, with or without lcd screen on other side, but 13" eink not small 6" and with a good controller and circuit to speed it up as much as possible.

I am a believer in KISS, "keep it simple stupid". Why because I spend most of my working life repairing electronic stuff. The more you cram in to a device to more to go wrong. I have a smartphone, a nexus tablet, and a Kindle PW2; and no way do I want them all in one device. I guess caring around on device would be nice but with all of the notifications I get it would prevent me from reading my books the way I love to.
Normally while reading on my PW2 I have my phone and my tablet off or at least muted so I do not get disturbed and even then the notifications will keep coming I just do not notice them. So I say No to all in one, convenient maybe, good at doing everything no way. |

I want a certain amount of integration, but perhaps not complete. I desire a seven inch windows 10 phablet, but I want my e-ink book reader separate. I often use them in tandem with different information displayed.
