Since the new changes to the check out, I've noticed that I can no longer copy and paste in the codes -- it does actually paste in, but it doesn't recognize the code, I have to re-type it in order for the "+" to highlight so the coupon can be applied.

Susan I just tested the new look check out for the first time, and I found that if I paste in the code and then click on the plus sign, it worked. (That was in Canada.)

As a btw, the 40% code I've received has a use by date of 7 days. So maybe your codes have a 7 day expiry as well?

I noted the date of expiration when I posted them..it's soon. Umm.. yes seems like a week from when I received them.

I think it depends on where I paste them from - -sometimes when I copy them from the email, they are colored -- either gray or light blue - -those don't seem to take. The + remains unhighlighted and clicking it does nothing. I mentioned it because I almost gave up on the code, one of the 90% I got from the refer a friend promo , I'd hate for someone else to give up.

The only thing I've noted regarding this on my end of Kobo is that pasting with a mouse (right click » paste) doesn't "activate" the + button unless there's keystroke involved (e.g., type a space after the code then delete it). Good old keyboard shortcut works fine, though.

I tried using the 40% code I received on my local Kobo site. Didn't work. Appears to be U.S.-only, though I haven't tested with other countries.
