9. Avatars, Images and Signatures

Yes, I feel the same,but maybe it's the pics quality more than the display.. Can anyone that has both make pics comparing the H2O and the Glo HD Display ?

I feel the same too. It's very obvious to my eyes.

To mine too . We are a pain for the e-reader brands...

I was very tempted with the Glo HD (because I sooooooo need another reader ), but those pics have considerably cooled me down.

My H2O is very good, and I cannot see shades, hence me asking comparison pics if they are some.

I'm sorry to say I don't like that shading at all. Makes my Voyage look perfect (which it isn't as I have shading)

I could see the light at the top. I had that with an older Glo that I returned to Argos as faulty, I always figured it was the way the frame didn't quite fit properly.

It seemed to me something inside is reflecting,thats why I called it the bezel.
You get used to it, but that is why I asked about the Glo HD.
In practice I don't read in totally dark so it doesn't bother me that much..with my old Sony T1 and T2 you get odd things with the cover light that has to be pulled out of the cover so then the Glo is luxe
I have the Aura HD,and (i hope) soon the Glo HD and then I compare them,but after I decide to keep the HD I will propably sell the normal Glo.
We will see
I think this Glo is about one years old so maybe they change the inside a bit ?

If only all of our observations made a difference. I'm hanging on to my H20 for dear life, that is for certain. The screen is excellent and so even - and if I say it's excellent, it really must be.

edit - I should probably clarify that last statement, lest anyone take it wrong. Excellent to my eyes, that is. I was just poking fun at myself since my crazy sensitive eyes seem to see colors on most of them. The H20 has been the only exception, in my case.

I'm very please with the GIo HD. So far, the light is very even with a white feel. I love the feel of the rubbery back but will have to be careful of greasy fingers while reading as it seem a good fingerprint catcher. Perhaps will I Keep the 6" Auro to read white eating...
At least no problem with page turns neither hit and miss, neither slow.

My Glo HD screen is consistent in color. I definitely would know since my eyes are very sensitive to uneven, two toned screens, I returned my Voyage because of that.

They do make a difference..... unfortunately maybe not to the products but to other people who can 'see' the irregularities and are happy people like you are around! My eyes are nowhere near as sensitive as yours to any screen issues but I am constantly surprised by the number of people who are very happy with how the screen looks on their device.

It is unfortunate that there are still quite big variations in the screens on individual models. There's clearly a cost v quality balance, which makes the Kindle Voyage quite a disappointment whereas the Paperwhite is pretty good (but only at the second attempt). And so far there is only one ereader that is truly premium and worth spending the extra cash on, and that's the Aura H2O. There are still some variations in its screen, but far less so than any other.
