A survey stated that the average person's greatest fear is having to give a speech in public. Fear of death was third on the list.

This means that at a funeral, most people would rather be in the coffin than standing up in front to give the eulogy.

An Englishman, a Frenchman, a Spaniard and a German are all standing watching a street performer do some excellent juggling.

The juggler notices that the four gentlemen have a very poor view, so he stands up on a large wooden box and calls out, “Can you all see me now?”
“Yes.”
“Oui.”
“Sí.”
“Ja.”

I got my first 'computer' when I was about 28. It was a "Vic 20," twenty K of memory and connected to my TV. It used cartridge style games, had a monochrome display, and played text-only games. I could program Basic scripts to change the color of the display, convert temperatures from F to C, but had no storage ability.

I didn't have a 'real' computer until I was 36, and in Grad School. It was an IBM with a 200M hard drive running Dos. Programs had cardboard templates that fit over the Function keys for special commands such as 'bold,' 'underline,' 'indent,' etc.

I spent a lot more time face to face with people back in those days.

My 1st computer was a color TRS-80 with 16 k, no modem, no hard drive, no internet and a tape drive for saving programs. Printer was dot matrix and pre-made games were on cartridges. The TV was my monitor as well. I loved playing baseball using my joystick controller (no mouse either). Programming was in basic on the TRS-80 as well. Now I can do more on my Kindle Fire than I could probably ever do with the TRS-80. Including post to message boards.
