I understood that that was your idea. That is why I hinted at one sever problem: Attempts to make a side loaded font work directly after boot (without opening a book) failed until now. Of course, this might not be much of a problem for people how seldom power their device off.

That was my understanding too, but when I first read your post I thought the "it is possible" and "the problem is" referred to two different approaches. Now I see it is the same thing, i.e., it is possible but there is still a problem.

Fortunately for me, I prefer to leave the interface in English even if my mother language is available, I don't want to be constantly annoyed by poor translations

I found some translation errors by context. Can you prepare other patch for me?

I see Not are translated the dates (month and day). I guess they're not in the nikel file.

Nor it is translated a phrase that warns that a dictionary is not installed.

Could you point me to an example? First I thought you mean for instance 1/23/15 against 23/1/15. But now I think you mean something else.

These three strings and other about dictionaries on are well translated. The string untranslated is the image attached No. 3 (image No, 4 is the same in English).

I see this text string and others strings in libnickel.so.1.0.0 (BCD65F v.3.15.0) but no in spanish.

The dates are probably coming from the standard libraries. Try setting the locale in the config file to something appropriate for your country and language. Look for "CurrentLocale" in the config file and change the value. From what I can see, the value should be "ca_ES".

Very nearly. With ca_ES, the date is translated to Catalan, but disappears the rest of translation and placed in English. If I apply again the Spanish language (translated into Catalan) the date is again untranslated.

That is annoying. My guess is that it is using the locale with the other libraries that do translation themselves, but defaulting to English if the locale is not one that nickel has. The only things I can think to do is either replace the English translations with yours, or find the code that does the selection and change that to use ca_ES.

The text string is well translated, I do not understand why the translation is not seen in the reader. Luckily is little important, don't worry.

Look, there is a small difference: "a %1 dictionary" against "an %1 dictionary". I think the Catalan translation can remain the same in both cases. Right? I will inserted this string, and upload the zlib file in the evening when I am back home.
