I have had that issue today myself, it seems to happen with the tablet is having issues connecting to the WIFi or the WIFI is a very slow connection. I have downloaded the 5.1.1 image and will be flashing my tablet soon.

I have just updated my Nexus 7 2013 to the latest image 5.1.1 not seeing anything new, but it does seem to be faster responding. Now I did not just update the firmware. I wiped my device out and flashed the factory image.

I wasn't having any issues with 5.1, but I went ahead and installed the 5.1.1 update tonight. It went smoothly.

I dirty-flashed 5.1.1 and honestly thought it had broken my battery widget since it stayed at 100% for so long after rebooting from flash. So I would definitely say no significant battery problems with this version.

Wow. It said a whopping 18Mb to download for my Nexus 7 (2013 wifi) 5.1.1 OTA update. Can't see as I notice a single thing different yet, but we'll see.

After a couple of days, I see an improvement in lag (but not a cure...

) in general and specifically with chrome. Mine is an N7 2012 flavor. I also clear cache and/or reboot at least once a day, which I've done since well before the 5.1.1 update.

Same here! No problems and touch screen problem hasn't resurface since updating.

Scratch that Google Play no longer works it gives me a server error

Update: It's working I can't say how I fixed it but I tried everything clear cache, data....etc nothing worked till I launched appmgr and click open in Google Play. It suddenly worked again.

looks like lollipop is now bricking the Nexus 9 tablets which would suggest at least to me that Googles software is the culprit for all the bricking lately and the hardware of everything is probably fine.

Again it's 5.0.2 doing the damage if your beyond that which I'm sure almost everyone is it's probably nothing to worry about well apart from Google not taking responsibility for their buggy updates.

Is this a little box that flashes up on the screen every few seconds, preventing you from using the tablet at all?

I haven't had that happen on my Nexus 7, but it happened on both of our KFHD 2012 running KitKat (n2a) and rendered them unusable, until I rolled back the Google Play version.

No when you load Google Play it says server error where the app background should be with a retry button.

It just updated Google Play and works again. Here's hoping Google fix it I sent a email with logs. Then now just got updated and it works. I was just getting ready to do a factory reset so I'll hold off for now.

I've not had any issues. But I didn't have the issue you had with 5.1 either.

Fingers crossed yours is working 100% again.

As many of you probably know, the Android 5.0 update is completely free, and users will simply need to wait for manufacturers to integrate all the changes in Android 5.0 to their software for each respective device, then here in the United States carriers will need to test the changes and approve the updates before they arrive. Does anyone knows if I can update my Dragon Touch M8 to Lollipop ?
