Attached is a screenshot of the specs I see when I click on the link you provided. No where on that page do I see a MicroSD card listed. However, I'm noticing that when I click on your link I'm routed to the us.kobobooks.com site instead of www.kobo.com. You are in Australia and probably seeing a different, region specific version of the page than I, being in the US, see.

I am not disputing that the Kobo Aura H2O shipped with a MicroSD card slot in the past. I'm not even going to dispute that it may still be shipping with a slot, though why they wouldn't advertise that feature being available is beyond me. The simple fact is, as it clearly shows in the screenshot, the tech specs do NOT list a MicroSD card slot. So, while it may have shipped with that slot in the past, I am not going to trust that it is going to continue to ship with one and would base my purchasing decision on the tech specs I see listed on the Kobo site. Which, frankly, is a moot point because I have no plans to purchase a Kobo. I've heard good things about them but it doesn't support directories and it doesn't support nested collections which makes it a complete no-go for me.

@BookJunkieLI: There has been no hint that Kobo have released an update to the Aura H2O, and enough US users have one with an external SD card slot, so I think that page is an error. Kobo does seem to be updating the style of the shop, so they've probably mess it up. But, as you have other reasons to not choose the device, it doesn't matter to you.

From that I would reach the same conclusion as BookJunkieLI, the H2O doesn't have a card slot.

As a disinterested bystander, and someone who know's bugger all about ereader devices, when I saw "waterproof" and discussion of an sd-card slot I did wonder how they kept the water out of the SD card slot.

Then I found this ==>> Kobo Aura H2O User Guide which addresses that issue specifically.

Methinks kobo needs to get their websites sorted out. I've seen this sort f thing elsewhere, i.e. multiple websites with conflicting information. IIRC 'twas Dell and one of the video card manufacturers.

Oh - I'm inclined to believe what's in the PDF user guide

What, you don't believe me who has one in my hands?

I've reported the problem on a thread about the store in the Kobo forum that a Kobo employee monitors. Hopefully, it won't take long to fix.

Nuh - yours could be discontinued stock, or you might have forgotten you modded it and rolled your own SD slot

Actually, I was intrigued with the idea that the ones sold in the US were crippled - I've seen the reverse often enough. I recall a time when getting Cisco kit out of the US was harder than getting one of their nukes, we ended up buying Wellfleets. Mind you the we was in Moscow
