. When testing in 1-page mode, I did on the other hand sometimes have to double-tap to actually change page on a chapter break, which resembles what you're describing, only not automatic

Not attacking anyone, but doesn't the betatesters saw the ghosting problem increasing, or does Kobo changed something at the end that wasn't tested ?
I mean, a lot of complains come from people about this ghosting issue, does the beta crew noticed it,but Kobo desides to ignore them ?
From about 3.11 the ghosting get worse and worse, how much value will a Glo HD have,if it is bothered by the ghosting so much ?

The external testers tend not to see a build until its just about to be released these days.

I had the idea,what in mine software testing period whas common, that they release a beta, people test,comes with rapports and errors,the errors are fixed, a new beta is released and if there are no errors left (noticeable) they bring it as a release, but that is not how it works ??

Not really with Kobo these days. They might do that with their internal testers but the externals tend not to see many builds.

I think that has nothing to do with FWs. The double refresh on new chapter loading happens when your new chapter uses embedded fonts. Check its code/contents in Calibre Editor and/or use different books to test.

I've installed the 3.15 firmware on my Kobo Touch N905C. It's working fine apart from one oddity. If I go to my library and then select a book from there, when I press the home button, it returns my to the library. Subsequent presses of the home button also take me back to the library, with no evident way to get back to the tiled home screen.

I can see the new house button in the top left corner, but that acts the same way as the physical home button.

I tried three of the books I'm currently reading, and this problem occured only on this one book.

But then I got frustrated with the weird semi-refreshing after looking up a word in the dictionary, and I was pretty sure the new chapter double refresh did not occur in that book on the previous firmware, so I reverted to 3.13.1 per this thread.

The downgrade on my H2O seems to be successful and all the annoying partial refreshes and double refreshes have now vanished.

I have 3.15.0 on my N905 Touch and haven't seen that problem. But, if it isn't working on an N905C, it might explain why Kobo haven't released to this to the Touch yet. Other than the home icon showing in other places, what changes are you seeing in the UI?

Are you sure you don't get that double refresh on 3.13.1? Cos I do have lots of books where I got them.

Do Kobos ask before updating, or are updates forced on you? If they are forced, is there a way to block updates other than keeping WiFi off? Thanks.
