The Gecko Slimfit is waterproof. I see they now have a gold one, too, which wasn't available when I bought the red one.

As much as I have liked this cover, I bought an official Kobo cover on the weekend. The front fits better and overall it is slimmer and lighter. The real difference is the back section doesn't extend all the way to the front at the top. It give a little less protection there, but I don't think that is a problem.

Yep, that's why I'm still using the official cover, it's the best one I've had so far...

I have no idea if these were posted already or not, but I just ordered a case off Etsy:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/2129788...-shop-header-0 It is really beautiful, it looks like a real book and it is customisable. I chose the yellow cover (though there are a few other colour options) and to have it look like a Sherlock Holmes book, so I am excited to see how it will turn out. I admit it is pretty pricey for a cover, but the Kobo H2O I will buy tomorrow will be my first ever e-reader, something I thought long (very long, actually) and hard before getting, and one of the things I was afraid of was to miss the feel of a real book on my hands. I will get the Kobo H2O to read on the bathtub daily, swimming pools during summer, travels and everyday on public transportation, so it will be used quite a lot and I felt like I should invest in a case I will love. Hopefully it will be as nice as I hope, as I don't want to buy another cover for it anytime soon, becau$e rea$ons. |

Was looking at those. Does the front cover wiggle around a lot when it's just hanging loose? Is it easy to read with/can you fold the front cover around to the back? Last edited by Dr. Drib; 10-08-2015 at 01:45 PM. |

Bought a Navitech cover in January; it does have the sleep/wake function, but it's really iffy. It also tends to send itself to sleep when I read with the front cover folded back.
Additionally, you can't get a fingernail far enough under the reader to actually open the port cover to charge the reader, and so I have to take the kobo out to charge. I'd be more disappointed in this cover if I'd actually been expecting anything from it to begin with, ahaha. Honestly, it was a temp while I waited to see if anyone else came out with a decent case. |

The best for me always has been a silicone guard (on my ST) and a zippered case. |

It will be my third case, but it's not like I'm ever getting rid of it. |

O-o-ooh, I'm a bit envious, I'd have liked a gold one. I confess I haven't actually had the nerve to dunk mine but the inside of the front cover is a honeycomb patterned soft rubbery substance rather than the usual fuzzy felt so it should be OK. Good luck with yours.

I got this case and I really like it. I like that it forms an easel for hands-free reading, and although it's pretty bulky, I find the H2O easier to hold over my Fintie case - perhaps it changes the center of gravity just enough to fit my hand better. The Fintie would slide around a bit, so I think this one offers better protection since I carry my reader around in my purse.
