It's also amazing what you discover when you look at the top of the unit with your glasses on...

Thanks davidfor
![]() I transferred the img file directly to my Kobo's internal micro SD card using the following method, and everything worked like a charm. The tutorial in the link below outlines how to swap your device's internal storage for a higher capacity replacement, but the steps are virtually the same if you want to flash an image to your existing card. Simply disregard the backup procedure. The whole process took about 10-15 minutes and was very straightforward, but I would only recommend it as a last resort given the inherent risk of damaging your device's internals during disassembly. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=209122 |

PM sent with the link to the image. See https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=209122 for some instructions. They are for the Glo, but the steps and tools are the same.

FFS me too
I am supposed to be the tech savy one, and it really annoys me when I get caught out. These Kobo seem to enjoy catching me out.
Wi-Fi crash and burn problem. I updated an old Kobo Wi-Fi for the old Fella...Father in Law...he calls me the Boy...I'm 50 so fairs fair. Anyway skid skid boom, ![]() I have a N647B, being and able to fix it would be ace ![]() Sounds like flashing it from the card seems to be the only way... ![]() Much appreciated in advance. Cheers |
