Hello!

Hello everyone,

Greetings from Northern California, USA. I've been hanging around here reading the threads for a while (especially the Kindle vs. Kobo ones, as I'm thinking about replacing my PW1 with a Kobo) -- thought it was time I actually registered!

Thanks, MickeyC. I actually ordered a Kobo Aura H20 yesterday from Chapters. Looking forward to trying something new, after being in the Kindle ecosystem for so long.

Be interested in what you think after you get your Kobo

Thanks Mickey -- I'm looking forward to getting it, maybe I will post my thoughts over in the Kobo forum once I get it and start playing with it.

Welcome Steve! I see you're from Maine -- I hear it's beautiful there. Have been meaning to plan a vacation there... one of these days!

I just noticed by your post count you've been here longer than me, seems silly for me to welcome you! Oh well, welcome anyway!

That member bombarded Mobileread and other members with numerous posts when he joined today. Thus far, he hasn't spammed us.

You've been here a few days longer. (You also quoted yourself, which I think you did not mean to do?)

Welcome.

Thanks. Been to Cali and liked it, but Maine is where I'll spend the rest of my days, I would think. We're way up on the Canadian border. Still plenty of snow here...

P.S. Dr. Drib. Just being friendly and have no intention of spamming. geesh.

Well, you were certainly a lot more friendly than most new members.

Be easy on Dr. Drib, the poor man must spend all day analyzing peoples' posts for spam (and other guidelines violations), some quite sneakily hidden. I fear he may not have quite so much time for simply enjoying the atmosphere here... Always busy busy busy.
Pretty soon everything you see, you start measuring its spam metrics.
BTW, thanks, Dr. Drib, for all your hard work in patrolling for spam/mind-warping images/trolls/potential scams/etc.
