If your going to try to compare font rendering between the H20 and Glo HD, be sure to set page refresh to 1. Not doing a full refresh *does* noticeably impact the crispness of font rendering on the H20, and I would expect the same on the Glo HD.

I have the Aura HD, and if the Glo HD will look the same as the Aura HD it is okay for me, if the Glo HD is visible better then the Aura HD, I would bother myself all the time, so the outcome of Davidfor is perfect to me.

I was forced to replace my Aura HD last year due to a cracked screen. The H20 itself was a noticeable improvement. Even though they have the same resolution, the contrast difference of the Carta screen was obvious.

I noticed that in the store displays, when all the Kobo readers are line up under bright store lights. The H20 always looked really bright, and made the others look like a dull grey by comparison. More than once I thought that was the glowlight, only to realize that the Kobo was actually off.

This is not a difference human eye can notice by putting devices side by side. We simple are not capable of making that measurement without assistance.

But the thing about eInk is that it is weird, you cannot compore it to computer screen, pixels are not aligned. Kindle is below.

They are weird, as you can see. Incidentally, this is also why you should not hint you typefaces as if you are hinting for computer screen. And why most typefaces render weirdly.

I have to disagree. Hinting can look better on eInk especially at smaller sizes. I've hinted my modified version of Charis SIL and I've not seen anything odd.

Ha Ha, at least it didn't say "Because we felt like it." It is often the case that programmers don't want to admit to errors so this cop out is often used.

No. I posted a link to a video a few pages back that compares the two front-lights. You can see the two-toneness on the Voyage screen on it. The Kobo light is more uniform.

So, can I still use v2.0 (with XP) with a plugin for the 2.x series or will I have to go to v1.48? BTW I'm using v2.0 with my GLO and have no problems.
