I'm a British ex-pat living in Germany and I hope an eBook reader will solve my problem of getting English books at a reasonable price.

Hi Sapper and welcome to the Forum. Where in Germany are you? I used to live in Stuttgart and also Berlin. UK too (Beds) back in the 70's LONG before eBook readers.

Hello desertgrandma and cassidym

Thank you for you replies

@ cassidym : I live in Menden NRW which if you look at a map of Germany about 20 km SSE of Dortmund. Quite far from Berlin or Stuttgart both of which I have never visited (shame on me I know) but they are on my list of places to visit along with Edinburgh and the whole of Italy.
