I make a test.epub by the 'Appendix B. Example' , when I open it with iBooks , it reporst corrupt file but not drmed file .

Also, I can't take a look at your EPUB, probably because the download link you provided is to a Chinese website and I cannot even figure out where the buttons are.
At least, nothing seems to work for me...

We do have our own attachments feature, if you click the "Go Advanced" button in the reply form.

iBooks DRM (Fairplay) is exclusive to Apple. The only way to get a DRM'd iBook is from their store and then downloaded into the iBooks app or with iTunes.

The more commonly used DRM from Adobe (Adept) requires a Content Server to apply the DRM and the books are encrypted to the account that downloads them.

Easiest way to get either is to "buy" a free book that has DRM from one of the eBook stores.

You do that by creating a regular book that works just fine, and then uploading it for sale in a bookstore.

iBooks only handles DRM managed by Apple Fairplay, and ADEPT is used by several bookstores including Kobo and B&N. You can set up your own bookstore and license ADEPT if you like, but it costs a lot for just one author.

Personally, I would advise against using DRM, since it doesn't stop the pirates, and just inconveniences paying customers.

Oh -- also, the EPUB you uploaded has zero-byte files for the book content, ToC, Nav, etc. -- no wonder it was reported as corrupted.

There are lots of free books in the various ebook stores. Some of them are DRMed and will be useful as samples.

As I already said. Go to an eBook sellers website and get yourself one of the free DRM'd books they offer.

An example of an Adobe DRM'd ePub which can be had for free (from the US at least) from Kobo.

I download the book it is a URLLink (6).acsm not an epub book.

When I open it , it opened Adobe Digital Editions 4.0. I don't have an adobe id.
Connect to adobe is very slow on my network .

But that is how a DRM'ed ePub IS delivered.

The book store supplies an ACSM file, which in turn is processed by ADE to actually download the true ePub, and associate it to your Adobe ID.

Adobe DRMed ebooks will not open in iBooks or any other ePub reader that doesn't used the Adobe RMSDK. That's rather the point of DRM.

I think you'll find that Apple uses it's own DRM system which is quite different from ADE. I don't think even Alf could help you with that.
