Are there any wired headsets that work with Fire HD6?

By 'work' I mean that you can pause/resume/skip with the headset control. I've tried a couple, including the one that came with Fire Phone, but neither works: I have to control playback on the device itself. Both work with my Android phone in terms of controlling playback, but it seems Fire HD does not pay attention to the button events. I'm guessing it is a limitation of the hardware.

Bluetooth headsets seem to work fine.
