I got my order in just before midnight last night and it's arriving Friday! Went for the 16gb black with a Fintie case. Thanks for the post, Oak, got me a very nice deal.

I even got cheeky, and *asked* via chatline whether they would give me the deal, a day late. They said that the limited stock of the Fire HD 7's alotted for this was used up. They gave me a $30 credit, but not the whole $60 I was hoping for. Now I can't decide. I wasn't ready to buy one at full price ..... and I'm not sure if $30 off is enough either.

See, I don't really *need* one. Just bought a Voyage last fall. Sigh.....

I think they will go on sale again soon too, badgoodDeb. Then you can use your credit on the Sale Price.

I bet they do something just before Father's Day in the USA. If they do, I'll probably get either a small tablet or a straight reader. The tablet is more versatile, but the battery life of a reader is really attractive.
