Thank you, it is rather a depressive information for me. Is there any idea when a solution will be released? Since I do not understand why to use Android without Google Play.

Another update in ereader-store for M96 and T68. I just saw it, and i have no idea of what is the changelog.

On my T68, a factory reset did fix my Google Play Services problem permanently, or at least it's been fine thus far. It is a bit of a hassle, though. I'm reluctant to try this latest update for that reason, and because we have no changelog. We haven't seen Booxstor here for a while, and the OP hasn't been updated with the latest updates, either. Curiouser and curiouser.

That sucks.

Reverting to an older firmware didn't make them come back.

(on a less dramatic but still annoying note: the eraser function of the big pen didn't work anymore either)

It seems a factory reset and the Update 2015-04-17 fix my problems with Google Play Services on M96 permanently (I hope). However, the erase of scribbling in Neo PDF Reader does not work.

As for me i won't install any update from booxtor without a change log in it as i wouldn't have update my T68 only to have a new (useless for me) icon in the status bar. Now I had to do a factory reset losing all my setup and my bookmarks..

None of us know what that strange new icon is in the status bar is yet from the last release because the Instruction Manual hasn't been updated. You absolutely need to be updating the documentation when you release new features and shipping release notes with every release. This is basic software distribution practice.

Does Booxtor even read this forum? I haven't seen him since months. Last m96 update posted here is already almost 3 months old. And every new update just sucks more, breaks things that worked etc.
I will never understand this crazy line of thought - instead of releasing the source code to the public, lets make shitty upgrades or just stop updating. I don't think they have some revolutionary ideas there, that they don't want the public to see (rather shitty code, if anything). It has been proven many times already, that companies like Onyx or Booxtor just don't have resources to write well tested software and release updates in a timely manner. Now he doesn't even put changelogs online.

As I see it, it changes the function of page turning buttons to volume buttons. I think, that would help with TTS in Onyx Neo Reader where the volume buttons function as page turning buttons, too. So there's no volume button left to use. But why the status bar icon doesn't change the function of the volume buttons rather than the function of the page turning buttons is a complete mystery to me.

It is very useful feature actually. Many apps do not see the page turning buttons, but can be configured to turn pages with volume buttons.

Hello,
i'm looking for a reader for my T68 which respects the original styles of my ebooks (.epub), but at the same time offers the option to justify text or modify the fonts in the text.
at the moment i'm using Alreader and Moon Reader, but they are both too independent from the original styles of my ebooks in my opinion..
any suggestions?
