Hi,

just a quick info from my side. Thanks for the image. Did put it on SD.

Different kind of resets - flashing green, flashing white - but no change in the display, still frozen. Guess it is not a SW issue but some kind of HW broken. Still no connection via USB -> will just put the brick on my desk and use it to not let all the papers on my desk being blown away.

Anyhow, thanks for the fast help.

One last thing to do is reopen it and check it went back together properly. Make sure the cable to the screen is connected properly. Also, make sure the SD card is seated correctly. There has been a couple of reports of reseating the card and everything was OK.

Hi,my kobo touch is 905B.
On the buttom it says:
FCC ID: NOIKBN905B
IC: 8857A-KBN905B
MODEL: N905B

Please someone send me a SD card image for 905B,thank you so much.

Another thing, In Device infromation,its Serial Number is 905C1430**** ,why it shows:"905C"?
What's the begining of the original Serial Number of the 905B?
Does it mean my 905B got the firmware of 905C? Should I rewrite the image?

From what I have seen, other than the N905 Touch, the serial number start with the model number. So, I would expect that yours would start with "N905B". I'm assuming you didn't type in the "N" at the start. I don't know how the serial number became what it is. But, I don't believe an N905B would start with the image from a N905C.

In any case, I have sent you a PM with the link to the N905B image.

The serial number is in on the device. If you can access the data partition, it is in the file .kobo/version. It is the first thirteen characters. But, if you can't it, it is offset 0x200 in the image. As you will need to mount the card to write the replacement image, there should be a way to access that location. I'd probably just take an image of the card and look in that. The image I have sent has the serial number replaced with zeroes.

Which version of the Kobo WiFi? There are three models and they need different images. The model number is on the end of the device with the USB socket. It will be one of N647, N647B or N289.
