I think its time for the new firmware to start rolling out... Fingers crossed.


I have my heart set on the new Holographic Novel experience...
But I will settle on the soft ice cream maker.

Ah, that's the difference between the N905 and N905C Touch - the cappucino attachment.

As to a new firmware, Kobo always release one with a new device. But, they don't always release it immediately for the other devices. So, we can expect firmware for the Glo HD in early May. Later in May, the rest of the lit devices will get new firmware, but it might be a minor version higher.

I'm intrigued by mentions of improved PDF handling on the Glo HD. Maybe the 3.5 PDF bug will finally be fixed.

Yeah, I am. I'm hopeful that the problem I found back in 3.5 is finally fixed. From the video (which I skipped through) it *might* be. They're using a gaming PDF (D&D from the looks of it) to demonstrate, and it was through gaming PDFs that I originally found the problem. arspr confirmed it was still around in 3.13.1.

If nothing else, I'd be interested in having pinch&zoom on my Aura HD.

Chess certainly was removed. No indication as to why? Maybe the AI used was not up to being beaten by humans? Definitely faster though on page turns at least to me it seems. Also no holographic display or soft icecream maker.
