Agree! This would swing me back to buying a GloHD.

Excited to see GloHDs are shipping already. Wondering if the new firmware (3.14.0) has improved search function.

@jhuynh - If you get a chance, would you mind going to the middle of a book then search for a very common word that would ordinarily result in more than 100 results (e.g., the main character's name should work).

1. How many search results do you get? More than 100 or exactly 100?

2. Do the search results start at the beginning of the book or do they start at the point in the book where you're currently reading?

3. If search only shows 100 results, what happens when you try to go forward to the 101st result? Will it let you do it, or does it just take you back to the beginning of the book?

Is is correct that any firmware version after 3.8 allows the reader to control (get rid of) the excess footer space at the bottom of the Glo HD screen?

On some of the videos of the new Glo HD, I've noticed the space...Perhaps that setting is out of the box, allowing the user to make the alteration if desired.

First you can change the light to 0% and it will turn off.

I've been trying to find an imperfection with mine. The only thing I could maybe nitpick is at the bottom where the glolight LEDs are. It's very slightly uneven there but it's very hard to see. On my old Glo, it's easy to see some screen imperfections close to the bottom of the screen just glancing at it but on my Glo HD I have to really try hard to see any uneven lighting. The lighting on the new Glo HD is really great and even. I think I'm going to enjoy reading this at night more than with my Glo as I found the Glo at 1% was still too bright and the Glo HD can go dimmer.

Sorry I'm not the best person to ask about what's new in the firmware Everything seems the same to me so far between the Glo and Glo HD. I would assume most of the updates would be bug fixes etc. If I notice any differences I'll post them.

1. I get exactly 100 results
2. The search starts at the beginning of the book
3. It takes me back to the beginning of the book

Thank you. The model id is as expected, but the linux version is a surprise, at least to me.

One thing I've noticed is that the only beta feature available is the web browser. The games are gone(although I never played them). Also, the web browser seems much improved. Things seem to load more quickly and the keyboard is more responsive than my old Glo. Things look much better because of the resolution as well.

Since my Glo broke last December I've been dying to buy another Kobo eReader. But it looks like this doesn't have a microSD slot, which is a deal breaker for me. I have A LOT of manga in my library and 4GB simply isn't enough. I guess the Aura is my only choice (If the one and only store here in my country ever decides to restock them).
