A couple of titles from way back when, currently free at Amazon UK -

The Howling II - Gary Brandner
For Karyn it was the howling. The howling that had heralded the nightmare in Drago… the nightmare that had joined her husband Roy to the she-wolf Marcia and should have ended forever with the fire. But it hadn’t. Roy and Marcia were still alive, and deadly… and thirsty for the most horrifying vengeance imaginable.

The Howling III - Gary Brandner
They are man. And they are beast. Once again they stalk the night, eyes aflame, teeth flashing in vengeance. Malcolm is the young one. He must choose between the familiar way of the human and the seductive howling of the wolf. Those who share his blood want to make him one of them. Those who fear him want him dead. Only one woman and one man want to help him. Even though they can't believe their ears. Or their eyes.

The first book in the trilogy is currently £1.92 at Amazon, so the three individual volumes can be picked up for under half the price of the omnibus.

They are also free in the US store.

I also wanted to point out that the first book is $2.99 in the US Amazon store, but is the same price at Kobo and is couponable so you could get all three for less than $2.

Free from the authors via KDP Select @ Amazon:

Mrs. Jingles by sibling writing team Vickie Britton (ISFDB) & Loretta Jackson (ISFDB; SYKM shared entry), a horror short involving creepy dolls.

Can dolls be evil? When Cassie purchases two Harlequin dolls at a local antiques store, one for her and one for her sister, she soon finds herself threatened by resolved sibling rivalry and an eerie presence who calls herself Mrs. Jingles.

Cassie humors her fragile sister, Mia, who is recovering from a nervous breakdown, by purchasing two Harlequin dolls at a local antique store. The two dolls, one light-haired and the other dark, are a matching pair, which resemble the two sisters!

Sibling rivalries from childhood begin to surface, as well as jealousy over Jason, who is married Mia, but who was once Cassie’s boyfriend. Cassie soon fears for her life when she receives a disturbing phone call in the eerie voice of Mrs. Jingles. Is Mia’s mind slowly unraveling, or does the doll have a mind of its own?

Cross-posting from the SFF thread since some of these titles have horror elements:

The latest Humble Book Bundle features titles from Subterranean Press.

Pay any amount and get:

Peter V. Brett, Brayan's Gold
Harlan Ellison, The Top of the Volcano: The Award-Winning Stories
Caitlin R. Kiernan, The Ape's Wife and Other Stories
Cherie Priest, Jacaranda: A Novel of the Clockwork Century
Dan Simmons, Muse of Fire
Connie Willis, Inside Job
Jack Vance, The Jack Vance Treasury

Beat the average (currently $8.64 and rising) and you'll also get:

Kelley Armstrong, Amityville Horrible
Clive Barker, Tortured Souls: The Legend of Primordium
Ted Chiang, The Merchant and the Alchemist's Gate
Maria Dahvana Headey and Kat Howard, The End of the Sentence
Barry Hughart, The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox

Pay more than $15, and you'll also get:
Joe R. Lansdale, Black Hat Jack
Robert McCammon, The Hunter from the Woods
K. J. Parker, Academic Exercises

And as always, more books will be added later. The nice thing here is that this bundle is available internationally, making many of these titles available outside the US for the first time.

X-link to the SF/Fantasy megathread since the author's works sometimes tend towards the dark paranormal side of fantasy:

Free from the author via KDP Select @ Amazon: Flower of Scotland by William Meikle, a collection of his previously-published flash fiction which includes pieces that have appeared in Nature magazine and Daily Science Fiction

Free from the author via KDP Select @ Amazon:

Familiar by Frances Pauli (ISFDB), 1st in her Corduroy County Coven series of paranormal mystery adventure novellas starring witches vs demons (may contain romantic elements). This appears to be self-pub, but Pauli is a Mundania Press author and gave away a whole bunch of her sci-fi/fantasy stories during a prior Read An Ebook Week, so if you grabbed and liked those then, maybe you might want to try this one as well.

Small town witch, Deirdre Wallace, is used to being treated like a pariah. Her neighbors ignore her, the town delinquent has been stalking her, and the local police refuse to take the vandalism to her herb shop seriously.

The sexy new cop in town, Ray Santos, seems like a godsend. He's taking her case seriously. But their first meeting triggers a past life memory that thrusts them both right into the path of something evil.
Now Deirdre has to sort out who she once was, who is on her side, and who is trying to kill her before her past life steals any chance she has at a future.

It'll take more than one witch to tackle this demon. Thankfully, Deirdre has a whole coven to back her up.

The Books of Blood, Volume 2 by Clive Barker, is $0.99 at Amazon
Quote:
Few authors can claim to have marked a genre so thoroughly and personally that their words have leaked into every aspect of modern pop culture. Clive Barker is such an author, and the Books of Blood marked his debut - his coming out to the world - in brilliant, unforgettable fashion. Crossroad Press is proud to present Clive Barker's "Books of Blood" in digital for the first time.

The Books of Blood combine the ordinary with the extraordinary while radiating the eroticism that has become Barker's signature. Weaving tales of the everyday world transformed into an unrecognizable place, where reason no longer exists and logic ceases to explain the workings of the universe, Clive Barker provides the stuff of nightmares in packages too tantalizing to resist.

Never one to shy away from the unimaginable or the unspeakable, Clive Barker breathes life into our deepest, darkest nightmares, creating visions that are at once terrifying, tender, and witty. The Books of Blood confirm what horror fans everywhere have known for a long time: We will be hearing from Clive Barker for many years to come.

This second volume contains the short stories : "Dread," "Hell's Event," "Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament," "The Skins of the Fathers," and "New Murders in the Rue Morgue," as well as a new introduction by author Steven Savile.

The second volume of Ellen Datlow's The Best Horror of the Year (and not the first, despite Night Shade Books' latest inaccurate e-mail), is $1.99 at various retailers including Amazon and Google Play. At this point, all six volumes of the series so far have been discounted at one time or another.

The Accursed, the final novel of Joyce Carol Oates' Gothic Quintet to be published, is $0.99 at Amazon US and possibly other retailers right now. It's a period horror novel set in early 19th century Princeton. Personally I liked it a bit less than the others in the Gothic series, but it's certainly worth 99 cents. I picked up a Kindle copy even though I already have an ARC of the print edition.

Free from the author via KDP Select @ Amazon: (linkage for the lot):

Afraid: A Novel of Terror by self-publishing champion J. A. Konrath (ISFDB, Wikipedia) writing as Jack Kilborn, one of those closed-in small-town horror stories, originally out from Hodder's Headline imprint in 2009.

Konrath also repeats a bunch of his self-pub stuff and some of his backlist mysteries.

Nestled in the woods of Wisconsin, Safe Haven is miles from everything. With one road in and out, this is a town so peaceful it has never needed a full-time police force. Until now...

A helicopter has crashed on the outskirts of town and something terrible has been unleashed. A classified secret weapon programmed to kill anything that stands in its way. Now it’s headed for the nearest lights to do what it does best. Isolate. Terrorize. Annihilate.

Soon all phone lines are dead and the road is blocked. Safe Haven’s only chance for survival rests on the shoulders of an aging county sheriff. And as the body count rises, the sheriff realizes something even more terrifying - maybe death hasn’t come to his little town by accident...
