I just noticed that there are no longer any discounts on the Harlequin site for Avon or some of the other Harlequin lines.

In some cases they list an ebook "list" price as 20% less than the paper price. But they've changed it so that they are not discounting the ebook list price.
I hope this is temporary and not a change related to their return to agency.

On the positive side I do still have enough points for 3 more free books.

I've got enough for 4 (I used my points to buy one book last month). I am hoping they will add the ability to use more points to get higher priced books sooner rather than later (I emailed them when the program first started to ask and they said that would be coming). Some of the books I would like to get are more than $8.99. I used to be able to use the 10-for-1 codes at ARe, but with the Harlequin titles no longer being eligible there I was hoping this program would be able to take the place.

Avon titles still don't show in the official rules for the program, so I wonder if they will still be eligible to use the code(s) on/obtain points when purchased directly from the Harlequin site.

As for the return to Agency pricing - blech! That was the one huge advantage Harlequin books used to have - that they were NOT agency.

That would be nice.

I did just check and one recent release book that had been $11.99 list, Shadow Study by Maria V. Snyder, has had it's list price dropped to $8.99. It was one title I had thought of getting with a code that I couldn't because of the price. I see some other books have had their list prices altered too, sometimes to what they were discounted to a few weeks ago. So they're still "full price", but the full price has changed.

I don't think anyone knows 100% at this point, but if it's truly a return to Agency then likely Harlequin & Carina titles will stop being discountable.

That's definitely going to effect my reading if it's true. I've been getting the Harlequin Intrigue and Romantic Suspense sets, but at full price, that just might be too high.

I've not been able to find a definitive answer as to if Harlequin series, imprints, and Carina will be included. I know they are owned by HarperCollins now--and that buyout did affect their inclusion in the loyalty program at ARe--but they are still operating somewhat as separate companies.

From what I've seen on Twitter and such, even the Carina/Harlequin authors don't have the answer.
