Not sure if this'll work or not, but feel free to try it. It's a 90% refer-a-friend-code that a "friend" just sent me, I opened a new Kobo account with the email it came to, and then I tried to use it. It didn't work, giving the error message as though it'd already been used (despite them having sent it to me just 10 minutes or so earlier). I already used 90% codes on my existing Kobo accounts, so assume it won't work for them. But maybe it'll work for someone? If so, please let me know, as I'm curious about the vagaries of Kobo!

As anyone bought gift cards recently? Is it possible that kobo changed something and it is no longer possible to buy gift cards?

I tried yesterday in new Zealand but was unable, the page didn’t work, I tried changing country without success and even tried using a VPN, finally I gave up.

Tempest@de, I just tried it out and it worked for me, I got right up to the point of entering my credit card details (which I didnt do). I am in NZ, so I dont know if that makes a difference, but if so then using the VPN should sort that issue.

I don't have any problems accessing the NZ egift card application page either (from Aus). See photo below.

I recall others posting they had problems accessing the NZ egift purchase screen some time ago.

It's a bit odd, especially since you used a VPN ....
