How to remove bookmarks

Is there an easy way to remove bookmarks I've placed in a book. e.g. Rt click
the bookmark icon and have a choice to remove bookmarks.

In my research I found that you can use "unpack-explode" to edit a bookmarks file, but that's a little scary for me. Plus it doesn't work on all book formats.

Any help appreciated.

@winbk7 - in the viewer if you right click the bookmarks icon you will see an option for Show/Hide bookmarks - if you click that you'll get a list of bookmarks in a right-side sidebar - select the first bookmark, then hold down the Delete key until they're all gone.

That's it! Thank you so much. Playing with that sidebar, I see you can also Rt-clk each individual bookmark and click Remove from the resulting popup menu.

The solution is to turn of page number tracking in the viewer and you'll never get bookmarks again.

@winbk7 - I think I just stumbled on a simpler way to remove them all - the optional Modify ePub PI has a checkbox - Remove calibre bookmark files

Actually they're not files as such, they're entries in the content.opf file - I think.
