Email trouble
How do you keep email from syncing so that it jams up your email app on the Fire? My email box is jammed up because more and more of my emails are syncing with the Fire app.

I use Type Mail (formally Blue Mail) it's a multi email app. I use it for four email addresses, 1 ISP, 2 Hotmail and a Gmail. The hotmail and Gmail sync with my laptop and other tablets (ios) but the isp doesn't. I've not had any issues at all with the app or my emails.
I don't use the fire email app as that is signed into my husbands gmail as it then syncs his calender (which we use) so I found using another email app for my emails was easier. Type mail is free in the Amazon App Store. I've never experiance any 'jamming up' so not really sure whats happening to your Fire. I have a Fire HDX 7 Last edited by Josieb1; 04-02-2015 at 04:05 AM. |

Thanks. I have an HD6" Kindle Fire but the app you mentioned seems to work very well. I had thought of deleting the email app that Amazon put on the Fire but it won't delete so that I could re-download it without whatever is messing up. I had also contacted Kindle Support last night and they suggested deleting the email account but I have yet to figure out how that is done either so the new app looks to be the best option at the moment. At least I can get into my email with it.

On my HDX if I wanted to remove hubbys gmail account I'd go into the email app. Select the email address which is listed under Add Account, then scroll to the bottom of the page displayed and select Delete Account from Device. That would leave my email app without any email account loaded. I would think its the same type of thing for the HD6.
Although we have a HD6 as well as the HDX we don't have any email accounts loaded into it so I can't check, sorry. |
