How Do I Convert a Windows Calibre Library to an OS X Calibre Library

I apologize ahead of time since I am certain this request for information has been covered elsewhere in the forum, but I could not successfully compose a search that would take me to that Information.

I have an existing Calibre library/database on a Windows 7 computer.

I would like to duplicate that Calibre library – in its entirety – on a separate Apple computer that is running OS X and Calibre.

Could someone point me to a URL, or prior thread that covers in detail the steps necessary to convert A Windows Calibre library and transfer it to an OS X [Apple Computer] from a Windows computer – which is currently running Windows 7.

Validate Existing Library. Right-click:Library Maintenance: Check Library
Run both phases. Fix issues

Copy the Library folder (Calibre Not Running), not just the contents.
<assumes Calibre for a MAC installed>
Paste the folder into a new (not inside the 'Calibre Library folder' ) location on the MAC

The next steps are important to validate integrity. Do nothing else with this Calibre Library until completed.

Start Calibre (on the MAC )
1) Right-click the Library Icon: Switch/ Create: Use Existing: <navigate to your copied library>.
If this is successful you should see books

2) Validate the new MAC Library to be sure all things made it without errors.

You are good to go
