How long does it take to receive the coupon? I referred my second Kobo account from my main Kobo account. I thought I didn't get a coupon because it I have existing account using that email address.

Hmmm.. I can't get the 90% off refer a friend deal to work. I follow the link, it inputs my email automatically, I add a "friend's" email, and i get an error message saying "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later. Error: sending user ID doesn't match any records"
But THEY inputted it... using the email address where I got the email... and which is my kobo account email. Anyone else with this issue? I want my 90% off

As the referrer, you do not get the code UNTIL they buy a book. If you want one, you have to have someone refer you.

It works like this:

"Send your friend an invite to sign up with Kobo and they will receive 90% off their first eBook. Once your friend signs up and makes their first purchase, we'll email you a promo code for 90% off your next eBook. "


Also, you can enter multiple referrals, one after the other.

Yes, but I referred myself on another account. When will that account get the 90% coupon?

Edit: I just referred another of my email addresses that does not have a Kobo account, and that email has not received a coupon either.

I create a new gmail account and refer to it. After registering for a kobo account using the new gmail address, I got the code immediately in my new gmail account. However, after buying a book from the new account, I have not received any code for the old account.

I got the coupon within five minutes. I had someone else refer me.

That's oddish ... so far I've used 1 Kobo account to refer three of my Contest accounts (and they don't have corresponding Kobo accounts) and I've gotten the 90% off code emails for them.

However, I haven't gotten 90% off code emails for the account I used to refer, and won't until I buy something from one of the three referred accounts.

Having said that, I successfully used one of the 90% codes on my existing Aus account without problem.

Umm yeah this is fun I managed to refer myself I was logged into on my Gmail account and entered that in to the refer field and ended up with a code 1 minute later

I've managed to refer one of my Kobo accounts four time (twice from each of my two other accounts) and got the coupon codes immediately for the referred account. I also got the coupon codes for an email I referred that doesn't currently have a Kobo account. For some reason none of my Yahoo email accounts have received the coupon codes even though they were referred from the same accounts as the other email accounts.

I was able to successfully use one of my referral codes on the pre-existing Kobo account but I couldn't use any other referral codes on the account. I did find that I was able to use them on my other Kobo accounts even though they didn't receive referral emails. So it looks like they are transferrable but only one 90% off discount per account. Haven't received any codes for the referring accounts yet even though the "friend" has redeemed their code, so I'm not sure how long that takes.

This is sooo extraordinarily somewhat confusing .... and fun .... and 90% off is sooo delicious

Pity the 90% code doesn't work in India though ...
