Amazon's free Kindle reader software is only three years newer than the standalone reader hardware, so to the extent that this was ever true, it wasn't true for very long.

Ah, the benefits of surrendering your country's sovereignty to a group of bureaucrats.

I think that this is straying towards P&R territory. If you really want to debate the benefits and drawbacks of closer cooperation between sovereign States (and between US states!), please wander over to the (opt-in) P&R forum.

Hi everyone I have some fairly big Abolish the 20% Reading Tax. campaign news and here it is. The former Lord Mayor of Liverpool @garymillar is giving his full weight to the campaign, having endorsed it publically off and online. Hopefully with his local connections we can continue to build on the clout we currently have. In addition we have a verbal endorsement from one local Labour MP (who wishes to remain non-signatory until we gain more support). Success so far!

People in places other than the UK can legally sign this as it affects the entire EU and USA business interests thus the site allows international signatures.

If you wish to take a look at the campaign and sign please go to https://www.change.org/p/abolish-the-20-reading-tax

Thanks. I was afraid that I could go to prison if I 'signed' it...
