Not at all. Although I have heard the name once or twice, I have no idea in what reference. Being most of these questions seem to have something to do with TV, I assume he's a TV actor?

TV and film. Although he is a Brit, he has made it big in the USA, even appearing in the Simpsons, more than once I think. He has presented the Golden Globes, so I'm surprised you haven't heard of him, though I appreciate that you have lived away from the States for a long time now.

In fact, we don't even have a TV in the house. We DO watch TV programs, but downloaded from the Net, so we can see them without commercials every 10 minutes. Same with movies. I haven't been in a movie theater since 1991. I pay no attention to the names of the stars. I just have no interest in them, any more than I have interest in the names of members of sports teams. I enjoy 'watching' them (actors and athletes) but have no interest in 'knowing' them. They do their jobs, and the good ones do them well. So do accountants, dentists, and soldiers. Stitchawl |
