Possible CC bug - Or maybe just an inconsistancy

I recently started syncing the "read" information from CC back to Calibre, and I have run into a small issue.

In settings, I have a column defined for "read", but I don't have on defined for "date read". In the marking books read section I have all three check boxes unchecked.

In books details, I have "Read" turned on.

When I am looking at a book's details, I see

Read: ____ Set Date Read

Since I don't have a "date read" column, setting the date will do nothing. Shouldn't that link be hidden?

I think that's what CC uses to keep track of when you last read the book. So you can sort by date read (CC).

To expand a little bit on what Purple Lady said: many CC users use the read and read date without syncing the information with calibre.

Oh, ok.

Any chance you might be willing to split them apart in the field select screen so that you could show one but not the other?

It's obviously not a huge deal, but I would prefer not to see the one I don't use.

I don't sync date read, but I do need to reset the value sometimes. I use the sort by date read (CC) if I am reading more than one book, but if I happen to open a book to read by mistake or just to check something out I don't want to see it at the top of the sort. Then I will clear the date.

kaufman -- you can always resize the picture first.

Image guidelines are pretty fair -- if the picture was too big, it probably also warped the page and you couldn't see it properly.

I made it smaller, but not enough smaller.

Use an Image editor to crop/scale screenshots to fit the limits
