#2 still bugs me, because McClean (really like that, I'll steal it) only asks but doesn't answer the question. Since after that he asks "... and do you believe in God above?", I'll try "God" for an answer...

Another possible answer for #3: They would have ended up as the Sultans of Swing.

In fact, I was noticing that there was virtually no activity here in the quiz so I didn't feel compelled to give too much thought to a good question. Instead, when I looked at the list of subscribed threads, what caught my eye was the overall title: " Unutterably Silly Quiz "

I just went from there...

If anyone has a 'good' question that will rouse some activity, please feel free to post it. My questions were just place-holders.

Nothing wrong with your questions at all - actually quite a refreshing change, but I'm just struggling to work out if there are "real" answers to the questions, or if they are more philosophical. For instance, I see that the answer to #1 is 42, but I have no idea why (apart from it being the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything). I can't recall the number ever being mentioned in the song...

^I believe Frankie and Benjy come up with that question to being a stand-in for the real question which was lost when the Earth was destroyed prior to the computer program to find the question was finished. So the answer obviously becomes 42 at that point.

Bows and floes of angles hair, and ice cream castles in the air...
There are no 'real' answers to any of those questions. Think of them as Zen 'koens.' Words to let rumble around the brain while thinking of nothing.

We can always rationalize an answer, and call it correct, but is it really?
Just who did really write the 'Book of Love?'

. A very UK-centric quiz, I'm sure pdurrant will forgive me for saying (probably why Google is allowed).

Have you never seen/heard of "An Idiot Abroad"? Karl is the butt of many jokes perpetrated on him by Ricky Gervais. Originally on a radio show on XFM, but now he has a TV show of his very own.
