I could sideload them, but I didn't even try to send them wirelessly because they showed up as azw3 instead of mobi when I imported them into Calibre, even though they had the mobi extension. Amazon doesn't let you send azw3 files by email.

Oh, and I wasn't able to download some of the mobi files from the first batch at all (at least using Safari, I didn't try Firefox). So I downloaded the epubs and converted them with Calibre. |

Ah I gotcha. I'm hoping the other books in the series go on sale eventually as the book I bought sounds fun.

phoenix picks pay what you want ebook this month is Dark Water's Embrace by Stephen Leigh

http://www.phoenixpick.com/botm/Leigh.htm Newsletter http://www.phoenixpick.com/newsletter/2015-03.htm DESCRIPTION: "Often compared to Ursula K. Le Guin’s ground-breaking The Left Hand of Darkness, Dark Water’s Embrace is a fascinating look at issues of human (and alien) sexuality. Stephen Leigh creates a rich world with elaborate care and uses this alien backdrop to delve into issues of survival, sexuality and the meaning of life itself. On the planet Mictlan, a small colony of stranded humans struggles to survive despite a diminishing birthrate and a high incidence of physical abnormalities. The cultural conflict engendered by the discovery of the mummified corpse of Mictlan’s now extinct former inhabitants forces the human community to reshape its moral principles to accommodate a bold & troubling solution to their problems." The book will be available on a pay-what-you-want basis from March 2 to March 31. |

This looks interesting. I got it for the Endi Webb story, but I know Whill of Agora is unexpectedly good.
