Thanks for clearing up this story Nate. Got freaked out a bit when I first read the headline. I get kindle books from the library all the time and its the only e-reader I own.

And true to that overdrive link, books I have had on watch because there was no kindle version available now have it attached so I can check them out. Another I already read and I had to do so through the tedious overdrive app. I would have much rather have read that on e-ink. That is now available also in kindle format. Glad they fixed this on their end.

On the other hand, I think I could still be skeptical of goodereader on general principles even if I didn't have an indicator of what is really going on.

I try to avoid taking people as gospel truth until after I learn they are trustworthy.

TBH, I wasn't finished investigating the issue, but that other piece forced my hand.

I was really disappointed a Victoria Dahl title I put on hold was only available in EPUB and OD versions, but today when I could get the hold the Kindle version was there.

Yes but even your original article just stated that there was a problem with some new Kindle books in Overdrive, reported from more than one source, then made an informed suggestion as to what might be happening.

I was slightly alarmed when I followed the link to the article on goodereader, checked your site for a more balanced view, and was immediately reassured that my original thoughts on the goodereader article (see eschwartz's post on sensationalizing stuff) was spot on.

So just to echo eschwartz again, thanks for all your hard work.
