Just an FYI - I bought the free app, got the email and still see no evidence of the $1 credit on the account (or on an order I placed approx 10 hours after getting the email)....

I got the free app last night and did receive the email stating a $1 MP3 credit has been applied to my account. But it isn't showing when I check the credit balance at How to Check Your Account for Digital Music Credit. Did it appear there immediately after your purchase?

I haven't purchased any other apps recently that would void this offer. And, like I said, I did receive the credit confirmation email.

Huh. Downloaded the BBC Media Player App and got this unexpected message:

No, tried in second acct with same result. So, had to contact Amazon to get the credit.

I called Amazon customer service this morning. After being transferred several times, it was confirmed that the $1 MP3 had been applied to my account, but CS told me it will not be included in the MP3 credits when I check my balance on that page. It's never been done that way before, but whatever...

In the "FREE/BARGAIN - Children's, YA - 2015" thread gabby98 pointed out that several Dr. Seuss ebook apps were on sale at iTunes and Google Play. I checked and Amazon also has 5 on sale for $0.99 or 99 coins (3 of them earn 30 coins each). So, if you've got a bunch of coins just sitting around, this looks like a good use for some (405 for all 5) of them.

Well, mine was not there AND it wasn't used when I purchased an MP3. So, if it doesn't show, I suspect it doesn't work. While on the line with them, the rep said it was on my account ... but could not explain why it wasn't used. So, manual adjustment time....

If you don't see it on the account, I'd contact them and make them add a credit that you can see.

I got the email and bought a mp3 and even though it didn't show up on the credits box you know you have the promo as it will take you to confirmation page with price and promo discount before you buy a song instead of 1 click buying.

I think it's only working in some accounts - I went thru the cart process and the promo didn't show up there or on the invoice, later. The customer service person said it was on the account and that I could see the amount on the linked page, but that page showed $0.00 as the current credit amount (as it did before the order). They had to refund the order and apply the credit manually.

A lot of trouble for a buck.
