Kobo Discounts: Coupon Codes + Discussion

I noticed that in CA, "Bushcraft 101" shows as $16.19 on kobo and $9.99 on google play. That means that you need a coupon for a discount of 38% just to match google's price. Its been pretty hard to get good coupons like that in this contest.

I just purchased an EPUB2 book, but it doesn't show up in my library at all, although I can see it in purchased items.

Is this something I need to contact Kobo Customer Service about, or is there another fix? Thanks!

Have you looked in Desktop for PC? It might be a kepub only ebook.

Don't worry if it is, obok will sort it out.

The 3 different Bushcraft 101's on Kobo Aus all had different prices. Did you see 3 different versions on Kobo CA?

Question about the Books on Film quiz: do you have a restriction that the code works for 24 hours or something? Yesterday I got a good code (read: larger then the default 35% here), I checked but didn't buy a book, today it said it is invalid.

Also: one title per code, correct?

Avid that's strange! The code's are good for usually up to 1 week after the close of the Contest. Which country were you trying to use the code in? They only work in Canada, United Kingdom and United States.

And yes, the code can only be used once and by one account only.

One title per code and they should be good for about a week after the contest. However, they are generally only working in UK, US and Canada.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't show up in the Desktop for Mac either. I think I was a little unclear before; when I said it appeared in Purchased items, I meant only under My Account, not my Library.

When I click on the book in My Account/Purchased list, it takes me to the book page with a link to View in Library. Clicking on that link takes me to my library, but the book isn't there.

Mmm ..... I'm wondering if the book will appear at some later date, or there are publisher issues.

Who was the publisher and was it a DRM free ebook?

The publisher is Simon & Schuster UK, and it's an EPUB2 book. I think I'll wait a few days before contacting customer service, just to see if it shows up in my library with the blue ADOBE DRM EPUB download button. Unless someone can think of something else for me to try.

uhm, looks pretty d*** good to me. Too bad I was too late and they all got snapped up

here's some really not good coupons...i think despite entering 150x (by the end of) this contest, I'm going to manage to get something like 5x 35%, and everything else below that. Unless tomorrow brings a miracle.

I'm a little reluctant to contact CS, as I "traveled" to buy this book, and I'd hate to have them rescind my travel privileges.

This same thing happened to me last contest with 4 books I purchased, all published by smashwords.

I received refunds for 2 of them.

The 3rd book showed up about 2 weeks after purchase.

The 4th book I am STILL arguing with them about. I can't get them a call to go through and every email takes them 4 days or so to respond to. The last email, the requested screen shots of my account purchase log and my credit card statement - -why? I gave them the order number and my credit card doesn't list the order number - -just 25+ different KOBO purchases.

I was going to call my credit card company on on Monday to contest the charge if it is not resolved.
