Considering the Boyue T62, had a question concerning the default stock launcher.

The Recently Added & Recently Read menus on the launcher home screen, how do those get populated? If I download a book from the Kindle app or Moon+ Reader via OPDS (or another third party app), will it show up in recently added? If you open a book in Moon+ Reader (or another third party app) will it show up in Recently Read? Can the default app for opening epubs, mobi, etc be changed to Moon+ Reader from the default reader app?

I could never figure out how that worked. I use Calibre Companion to manage my books and Moon+ to read them.

Those features have baffled me, too. This is the best I can come up with. After I imported books into my T62 through Calibre Companion, the last several books that were imported then showed up under "Recently Added". When I just added a few new books that way, they then automatically showed up under "Recently Added". "Recently Read" is a bigger mystery, even when i use the built-in reader. Nothing shows up there by default. However, if I open one of the Recently Added books with the default reader, and then close it, then that book and the last two books I read show up under Recently Read. If there is a way to make those books show up under Recently Read without opening another book and closing it, I'd love to know!

For anyone who uses Moon+ reader - the latest version now has all menus visible - it used to have the white on white problem.

just asked the seller on AliExpress and he/she sent me this picture:

https://i.imgur.com/DZLN5GZ.png

they've improved the appearance of the device and probably the software. the logo on the back reminded me of Energy Sistem eReader Pro (which is a rebranded Boyue T62)!

I wonder if the "Supported SD cards MicroSD/SDHC up to 64 GB." on Energy Sistem's website is a mistake or it's one of those "Enhancements" they're talking about (the original T62 only supports microsd up to 32gb).

So what's the consensus on the latest version of the t62? I really want to pull the trigger on one of these if they're running clean..

I've also been a little hesitant to purchase from AliExpress, but their guarantee actually seems pretty legitimate.

The latest update to my T62 is working great - no more problems with the device being kept awake. It uses .4% battery per hour with the screen off now.

Another thing I'm taking into consideration is whether or not the t62 is going to get Lollipop..

I have just ordered one. I currently have a kobo but all of my books were set up for Montano when I had a tablet so have been looking for an ereader that runs it. This thread has convinced me to give it a try.

I just ordered a "T62+" to be my first experience with one of these Boyue devices. The seller says this new version has an "enhanced" screen and quality! whatever that means.

I'll root it and will probably replace the Boyue firmware with Energy Sistem's.

Good news! I will be waiting for your review.
Where did you buy it? Could you share the link? And what do you think/know the differences between eReader Pro and Boyue T62+? Are there any differences?

I will try to make custom rom for this device(eReader Pro or Boyue T62+) If I buy.

They're the same device but the Energy eReader Pro specs says it supports up to 64GB of microSD card which is 32GB more than what T62 is said to support. There are not much technical details available about the T62 so we don't know if it does support the same capacity of external memory or not. You could email the company's support on szBoeye.com or Boyue.com and ask them (or ask the sellers on banggood.com or aliexpress.com but they're just selling them and don't know much about the "technical details")!

I don't think I'd be able to make a better review than the one Nathan from The eBook Reader made recently, but I will write about my experience with it after I received and used it for some time. I don't think I'd be receiving it for at least 2-3 weeks because of the current Chinese New Year Festival over there in China!

I ordered it and its protective case from BangGood.com: http://www.banggood.com/Boyue-T62-8G...-p-942029.html
