Timing is everything. Yesterday, I had three credits and used one. Today I got the e-mail about the $10 coupon. Now I don't know if I qualify for the offer or not and don't want to use the two remaining credits if I don't.

This is the second time this has happened, where I used the credit a day or so before the offer. Sheesh!

ETA: In chat the Audible rep says I do qualify. So I guess I'll use up the credits.

The HOP2 code worked perfectly. I got an alert from the bank about the $1.00 charge because it appeared to be an international charge to the bank () but when I called customer service they said it was just an authorization that would be backed out within 24 hours.

Ultimately, the inability to move it to my PC or other storage isn't a problem for me. I use free credits like this for stuff I'll listen to once and won't think about again: Star Wars or Clive Cussler novels.

FYI

On the front page, I removed all of the trial offers from the OP for the membership/ subscription services and placed them in post #2. This should make it easier to find these offers, plus reduce the clutter in the OP.

They are reputable. I have a couple of things from them. The only freebies I ever find there (with a few exceptions) are Librivox. They have sales, but they look like publisher mark-downs. No subscriptions, strictly pay-as-you-go. Files are in mp3 format (no DRM).

Thanks I was wondering if it was a piracy site and they were trying to sell the stuff. If I can get some of the older titles for series I am listening at a discount it will be worth it.
