Hi, In response to my troubles with my N289 the Kobo service tech told me to go out and buy a new one. I'm not ready to do that yet. Can anyone supply me with an image to fix my non-functioning reader?

I picked up a Kobo Wifi N647B for a good price ($30 Cdn). The first time I connected to my PC it tried to update the software, and like everyone else I ended up with a brick. The first tech support rep said I needed a replacement. 2 weeks later I contacted them and the 2nd tech support rep suggested a variety of resets (some of which were oddly for other Kobo models). Obviously none worked. The final response, one month later, is 1) your device doesn't work, and 2) we don't repair or replace the Kobo Wifi anymore.

So, if someone could send me a link to the SD card image I'll try to fix this myself ....

Thank you again for the Image, my internal card got corrupted and the capacity of the card was reduced. I could not even write the image to the card because it's usable capacity was reduced to 1.82 GB. I had swipe my GF's old phone SD card to write the image.

If you have s WiFi and let it update the firmware chances are it will get bricked....

The sad thing is I've tried asking Kobo devs over on the beta list about this and it's like talkign to a brick wall.
